Getting started

How to read the docs and what to expect from the platform.

Last revised · V MMXXVI

Marsovius is an open-source operational platform. These docs assume you have an institution — a shop, a clinic, a ministry — that needs one system of truth. If you are exploring the platform for personal curiosity, the manifesto is the better entry point.

Reading order

The docs are short by design. Read them in this order:

  1. The ontology — the contract of meaning the platform obeys.
  2. The modules — the Greek and Latin names, and what each one does.
  3. Installation — clone the repository, run the stack.
  4. Deployment — where the platform runs today, and where it is going.
  5. Operations — the day-to-day commands.
  6. Working with a legate — when the house sends an engineer.

Conventions

  • Code blocks use mono on a Pumice background.
  • Roman numerals mark major sections.
  • Every command shown is reproducible from a clean checkout of marsovius-platform.
  • Where the docs say the house, they mean the Marsovius company.

When to write to the house

For technical questions, the GitHub repository is the right place. For commercial or sovereign questions, write to audience@marsovius.com. For a legate, write to legates@marsovius.com.

A response follows within three working days.
