Glossary
The words the house uses.
Short definitions for the reader who has not yet spent ten years inside an operational platform. Each entry is one paragraph. Each paragraph holds its meaning entire.
Ontology
Latin · ontologia
- The semantic model of every object the institution cares about — subject, order, asset, branch, outcome — and the actions allowed on them. The shared contract that a thousand workers agree to when they say "patient".
Digital twin
Latin · imago digitalis
- A live, queryable replica of the physical operation — a warehouse, a fleet, a hospital floor, a population. Synchronised in both directions and simulated to test what-if branches before they are committed.
Predictions
Latin · praesagia
- Forecasts bound by the ontology. Their inputs are traceable, their confidence is published, and the action they trigger is signed. The model is a first-class object of the platform, not a black box bolted on.
Agents
Latin · agentes
- Assisted and autonomous workers that cannot operate outside the ontology. Every tool they call is typed, every action is signed, every capability is revocable by the institution at any moment.
Workflows
Latin · processus
- Long-running, versioned business processes. Each step transition is signed. Each branch is replayable. Each rule is reviewable in court two years from now.
Pipelines
Latin · canales
- Source-of-truth ingestion and transformation. Lineage runs from a raw row in a source system to the leaf field rendered in an operator workspace, six layers later.
Surfaces
Latin · tabulae
- The operator-facing applications composed from the ontology. Workspaces, case files, operational HUDs, storefronts. What you see is what the auditor will read tomorrow.
Legate
Latin · legatus
- A senior engineer of the house dispatched to the customer's premises with delegated authority to install the platform, design the ontology, train the operators, and remain as counsel. The house's name for the Forward-Deployed Engineer.
Audience
Latin · audientia
- A formal request to be received by the house. The brand uses this word in place of the SaaS "demo": the conversation is institutional, the response is within three working days, and the relationship is established by signature.
Pact of Sovereignty
Latin · foedus
- A contractual addendum offered to sovereignty-bound customers. Five commitments: domicile, control, exit, source, audit. The strongest posture the house enters into.
Apache 2.0
- The licence under which Marsovius is published. Permissive, well-understood by institutional procurement, and the same licence used by Kubernetes, Apache Kafka, and TensorFlow.
House
Latin · domus
- How the brand refers to itself. The metaphor of the noble Roman house — closed to those who do not respect it, open to those who request audience properly.
A term missing here is a term the house has not earned the right to use yet.
